Midsole DJ Academy: Terms and Conditions

Enrollment and Fees

  1. Payment Methods: Course fees must be paid in Australian Dollars using acceptable methods such as cash, credit/debit card, bank transfer, or check payable to Midsole DJ Academy.

  2. Fee Structure: Fees are due prior to lesson/course commencement, with options for full upfront payment, payment during the first lesson, or through a mutually agreed payment plan.

Financial Responsibilities

  1. Delayed Payment Consequences: If payment deadlines are missed, Midsole DJ Academy may withhold access to facilities and lessons. Late payments will incur an interest rate of 15% compounded daily.

  2. Refunds and Withdrawals: Full refunds are available if withdrawal from a course is communicated at least 24hrs prior to the first lesson. Post this period, fees become non-refundable regardless of course participation or withdrawal reasons.

  3. Course Cancellation: If a student cancels enrollment post the specified refund period, they are responsible for the full course fee.

  4. Lesson Rescheduling/Cancellation: To ensure efficient scheduling and resource allocation, we kindly request that students notify us of any cancellations or requests to reschedule their lessons at least 24 hours prior to their scheduled lesson time. In instances where notification is not provided within this 24-hour window, students will be responsible for covering the cost of the room hire fee. This fee is set at $30 per hour for DJ Studio #2 and $40 per hour for the Pro DJ Studio. Your adherence to this policy assists in maintaining a smooth and effective learning environment for all students.

  5. No shows: In the event a student fails to attend their scheduled lesson without prior notification, they will be held accountable for the full cost of the lesson. This policy is in place to ensure fair use of our resources and instructors' time.

  6. Recovery of Unpaid Fees: Missed payments may lead to internal and eventually external collection processes, with all associated costs charged to the student.

Student Obligations

  1. Damage and Liability: Responsibility for any damage to equipment provided by The Hen House Rehearsal studios lies with the student, with repair or replacement costs determined by Midsole DJ Academy.

  2. Class Attendance: Missed classes are forfeited unless prior notice is given. The academy may offer makeup classes based on specific circumstances.

  3. Conduct and Rights: Students must adhere to conduct guidelines. Midsole DJ Academy reserves the right to use images of students for promotional activities.

  4. Intellectual Property: All educational materials provided remain the property of Midsole DJ Academy and cannot be redistributed.

  5. Fitness for Participation: Students must not be under the influence of substances that impair learning capabilities.

  6. Disability Disclosure: Students with disabilities should disclose if it impacts their ability to meet course requirements or safety standards.
